The classic vinyl that started it all. Who is Megadebt?
The remains of the 8 man mega-group of the 80's, the brainchild of
a young Bush junior. Launched in Miami '88, Megadebt's debut "My
Father Used To Run The CIA And Is An International Drug Dealers, Why
Are You Suprised?" hit at the height of the MTV days and Iran-Contra
scandel. It rocked, or so they they thought. Unfortuntely this was
also around the fall of hair bands, screaming electric guitars, long
hair and black tight clothes in American popular culture. Music like
hip hop had started taking over the youth's interest. The next year,
the group quickly broke up, Bush checked into rehab and quit the band.
The remaining members of the group went underground but have now resurfaced
with a new sound and message. Now only 7 members strong; El Santo,
Otto von Schitpiss, Dr. Shanker, Mr. Soundwave, Emilio Bernhard, Docnuke.com
and Force.fed, Megadebt unleashes "Your Wars, I Ain't Buying
Them" as a response to the Iraq invasion. They have traded their
electric guitars for mpc's and g4 cpu's but their sound is raw as
ever and have crafted a sound that fuses finger bleeding twiddling
and the monster beats that swept Miami in the 80's. The opening tracks
says it all, "Your Wars, I Ain't Buying Them". Dark industrial
meets ghetto bass, as Mr.Soundwave drops some serious lyrics. Serious
like cancer or government created SARS, indeed. Followed by more drum
machine molestation, synth stabs and Macintosh molestation and even
a gangstapella for the adventurous type DJ's. In anticipation of sold
out arenas and massive fanclub, this release comes with a special
back stage pass for all access to their forthcoming Japan tour, with
Iran Maiden and La Mano Fria!

Back by popular demand, we bring back the founding forefathers of the Rise and Defeat crew. Getting tired of over 500 years of brown people getting slaughtered and 'converted' by the good corporate church?
Their land and natural resources being stolen? Yeah we thought so.
Megadebt is the crew and they won't bow down to the golden arches.
With new lead vocalist "Iran Maiden" behind the mic conjuring
up wolves and horses, Otto von Exxon drops an IDM/Black Metal ode
to victims of invasion and occupation. Then his evil stepbrother,
Otto von Schirach (recently turned house music producer) gets freaky
in the Oval office with some ballot-box bondage and deep White House
4/4 club beats. Miss Kitten and Peaches mud wrestling couldn't get
down and dirtier than Otto von Schitpiss and diva Bush Ladin with
this classic twisted electro club banger. The real shock and awe.
But wait, we're not even close to being done. Force.fed weaves in
and out with tones and broken Miami ghetto bass. Heavy 'Mental' mayhem,
which ends everything with a guest appearance by Phako. A driven downtempo
killer with hypnotic synths and distorted vocals, representing well
the Rotterdam DUB crew. All controlled by La Mano Fria from a secret
location.
Otto Von Schirach's guerillacore alter ego Docnuke's
back and he's still seething with the fury of oil-rich, cash poor
peoples, lined up like so many dominoes in a premeditated imperial
Japan tour. These tracks were made around 1996, back before Venetian
Snares and Kid 606, knew how to walk. Miami is the place and Otto
is the teacher, making nasty and dirty beats on his broken MPC and
rhyming on his rusty miscrophone. The breakcore psychosis stays strong,
fusing bass, booty, jungle, and hip-hop to incendiary effect. This
music should come to be seen as Otto's defining work...Protest and
survive.
